Photoshoot for TOFM "THE OFFICIAL FERRARI MAGAZINE" with finnish racelegend Kimi Raikkonen in the mountain region near Maranello, Italy. Unfortunately we had bad luck with the weather on the shootday and there was no chance to reschedule. So after the shoot I worked on a look for the series and came up with an idea to use color patterns as layers on the photos to support the dreamy mood. In a subway station near my place is a glass roundel window. At noon the sun is hitting that window and lighting up the whole thing. Shooting this window with a long lens (70-200mm) with wide open aperture (f2.8) and focus set to close distance (out of focus on purpose) I captured blurry patterns of different colors. These were layered on top of the images in Photoshop using blendmode "screen". Adjusting opacity and combining multiple patterns created the look and feel of these images.
