Postcards from the Imaginarium
Most of the images I make are firmly based in the world of photography, using digital or film cameras. But there's a part of me that loves to create composite images, simply because on that stage, I can let my imagination run wild. I also enjoy the puzzle aspect of creating a composite and figuring out how to make all the different image ingredients work together to tell a story. Composite images are not bound by the confines of reality...they follow meandering paths, chasing trains of thought and flights of fancy through imaginary landscapes, short fictions, and the topography of dreams.
Several of these images were created for the book "Photoshop Masking & Compositing" by Katrin Eismann, Seán Duggan & James Porto (Peachpit, 2012).
