#RenderWeeklyTableLamp
This lamp was designed for Renderweekly's challenge about desk lamps earlier this month.

While previously working in a company that produces heavy-duty doors and shielding solutions, I learned a lot about sheetmetal process.
It has been some time that I wanted to design a product using this process.

This project consists in a DIY kit that the user has to assemble himself. It comprises every components including electronics, screws, and sheetmetal and other parts.
My biggest inspiration for this project was the H-1 Table lamp designed by Hoyoung Joo / studio SFSO.
The oblong holes in the sheetmetal parts folds help the user folds the parts easily by hand. I took this from the keyboard I designed for another Renderweekly challenge : the OP-84, inspired by teenage-engineering products
I came with 2 colorways that I can decide which one is the best : light blue/light grey and orange/light grey
While making the renderings for this project, I used for the first time a lot of interesting Keyshot features : GPU rendering, scattering medium, fuzz & RealCloth. (I also opened the material graph for the first time...). Had trouble using some of these features and need more practice.
Thank you for watching !
