Meredith Internal Communication Toolkit

Why this toolkit?
When Time Inc. was all set for a Meredith takeover, there was a certain confusion within the organization as to the look and feel that had to be followed for all internal communication purposes. As they were yet to receive any form of a guideline, we were tasked with the conceptualization, design and setting the tone for Meredith. What followed was a contest between two copywriters and a creative head with a designer each to bring the vision to life. And this was our outcome.
What to do now?
Having hit blanks all day, the night looked interesting. Little did I know that standing outside the Vijayanagara metro I would crack the concept for this toolkit. But I did. It was Fantastic Mr. Fox and Wes Anderson singing in my ears as to what I had to do. And the rest is what you see above and below.
Bringing it to life
It's time to introduce the man with the brush, Sooraj Kadavil. Though I've rarely seen him with a brush, this sure was a masterstroke from him. He blew my head away. I just had to give him the right cues and he did everything he could do to produce this one 'helluva' toolkit.
Love for Color. Love for Cinema
There's a bit of everything. Colors inspired by the palette of Wes Anderson and Wong Kar Wai. A guideline that changes with the seasons that come. A bit of Roald Dahl. A bit of Sparta. A bit of Sorkin. And a whole lot of madness.
