This is a contour line drawing from my Observational Drawing class. Originally, we created preliminary sketches to discover a composition that we liked. After choosing a composition, we did the line drawing. Once the line drawing was complete, we moved onto the final step, which was contour lines. I chose two shapes that I wanted to focus on, since we were not contouring the entire drawing. I determined that I wanted to contour the pot to further create the illusion of a three-dimensional object. The second object that I chose was a metal piece on the top of the ladder. I wanted to further bring out the diagonal movement shown in the shape.
