EMOTION: Conversation Issue 01
The Emotion magazine consists of three aspects of design: cover, masthead and layout. The cover design conveys the concept of personifying punctuations so as to reflect the essence of the article – The Elements of Typographic Style
Since the article hovers around the theme of expression and conversation, punctuations are played strategically in size and placement to showcase the individuality of each punctuation. The masthead design encapsulates the volatility and fluidity of emotion.
The layout of The Elements of Typographic Style aims to convey the idea of power, which can be seen in how the quote has the strength and power to shake the seemingly stable layout.
