Wine & Roses Festival Branding Identity

Wine & Roses Festival Branding
Located at the Messina Hof Estate in Bryan, Texas, the Wine and Roses Festival weekend celebrates the budding of the vines and the blooming of the roses. Festivities begin on Friday, May 1 with the Spring Wine Release, the first wine release event of the year! On Saturday, May 2, guests are invited to enjoy wine tasting, local vendors and artisans, pairing classes, and our famous grape stomp competition at the Wine and Roses Festival.
My concept is derived from the meaning behind why vineyard care takers plant roses at the end of the rows of vines. This is because roses and grape vines are very similar plants, who share the same growing conditions. For example,  roses and grape vines get the same types of pests and plant diseases while growing. Instead of walking down the long rows of vines, the caretaker can take a look at the roses and have a pretty good idea how the vines are doing. Different colors of roses are also meant to distinguish different varieties of grapes. My logo and patterning focuses on the biodiversity of growing and existing between the two plants. This is shown in my merging of the rose with the wine glass, as well as the patterning with wine bottles stemming from the vines subtly. The over all feel I wanted to apply is an elegant, clean, while also natural feel.
