Finished a watercolour painting of the stepping stones across the river Wansbeck in the market town of Morpeth. This is only the fifth watercolour I have painted, starting to get a feel for it now!

My watercolour tribute to a great character actor James Gandolfini (1961 – 2013) starred in the TV series “The Sopranos” who passed away.

This is, believe it or not only my third attempt at watercolour painting, it was one of the last mediums I hadn’t tried, now I’ve kind of got the watercolour bug now.

Well finally finished this mini epic watercolour of the actress Scarlett Johansen (from `The Girl with the Pearl Earring movie), that I’ve been working on over the past few days. Not a half bad half attempt at only my second time using watercolours. Found watercolours surprisingly easy to work with, especially when adding soft graduations, remove areas of washes, all good fun!
