The Face of Madness - Photo Essay / Editorial Design

The face of madness

This is a photo essay that I did as a thesis project to obtain my degree in graphic design, the topic that is treated in this work is about mental disorders, it's an aesthetic approach that will try to sensitize the viewer about a somewhat unknown topic through photography and editorial design.
Schizophrenia
Is it really pure imagination, or do people around have an inability to perceive all that?

Bipolar disorder
The transition from reluctance to euphoria will always involve apparent calm periods.

Dissociative identity disorder
Each ecosystem made up of thoughts, personalities and stories, they seem to have absolute individuality.

Body dysmorphic disorder
It would be easier to hear that everything is true, that the irregularity observed with obsession catches everyone's attention.

Eating Disorder
Looking in the mirror will never be pleasant and the solutions fall to the extremes without knowing when it is enough.

Anxiety disorders
The desire to appear normal in front of others stalks and envelops.

Dementia
Over time the memories disappear without realizing anything, without being able to avoid it.

Depression
Day by day with a mask, getting used to living covering all regrets.

Notice: The objective of this work is not to offer scientific, psychological or psychiatric information, this is the result of a personal investigation from the emotional and sensitive. It is a point of view, an approach to a subject that for many is very little known.
