The objective of this project was to create a quality, organic pet food product. Turtle food was chosen as the product because the package could be inspired by my pet turtle Melvin. The colours used on the labels reflect the food inside the containers; violet for fruit, green for vegetables and red for protein. The container is magnetic and could be sold in a kit to be attached with the tank, or sold separately. The containers have a twistable cap that allows the buyer to sprinkle in the food as needed.
Turtles are recommended as a first time pet because they are easy to care for and are not dangerous to kids, this simplicity and friendliness is reflected in the package design. The geometric style is easily understood and appeals to a range of audiences. This package would interest first time reptile buyers because they would want to keep their turtle happy and healthy as well as have an easy, convenient feeding system.
