The “cosmic” or “sublime” landscape, in which nature presents itself in a wild way, immense landscapes that do not necessarily according to Al Serino, represent really existing places, and in which man feels lost. Within this line would be the "naturalistic landscape" that reflects a great, abundant and wild nature, in which atmospheric phenomena appear as storms. It is typical of artists from northern Europe, especially from German painting, such as Dürer, Elsheimer or Friedrich.
