Green Action Plan Environmental Responsibility Document

GREEN ACTION PLAN
GAP's Green Action Plan is probably the most relevant and demanding piece of work I have created to date. I was initially tasked to update a very aged environmental poster, which highlighted some basic things GAP were undetaking to try to reduce their carbon footprint. I felt the concept was more pressing however, and the decided to take the entire project to a much larger, more complex scale.

Initially researching and planning the content and how it will flow, from contacting and spending countless hours on websites of organisations such as WWF and Greenpeace built up a vast amount of information which would then be filtered into the document. There was extensive collaboration between departments for information and having people buy into the project, changing internal processes and mindsets along the way. After this was complete I worked on the design stage of the project, using the most relevant information to bring together a document that told the story of our mission to reduce our carbon footprint and also educate on the extent both our company operations and the industry in general have on the environment.

As a company involved in tendering in the construction industry, this document has proven to be essential for large scale contracts that require a clear and concise strategy on environmental responsibility. With the construction industry becoming increasingly aware on the environmental challenges we face, this document helped our company and our customers communicate the steps they are taking to adopt a philosophy for carbon neutrality.
