Rhodes College approached us to reinvision their alumni magazine. I felt the magazine should reflect the history of the institution while being warm and modern. The design is anchored by a rigid grid that allowed me to work in small, overlapping modules for images and drop quotes that could rest on top of each other, giving the layouts a more dynamic flow. To give the warmth that i wanted, the magazine leans on the typeface Tropiline. The Tropiline family is expansive and provided so much positive contrast.
