For this project, we were required to create a fake landscape with 4 different images collaged into. I wanted to go with a fantasy fake landscape. I ended up adding a galaxy within it, because I liked the idea behind it. I used Pixabay to help find the images that I used in this piece.
First, I started off with this image that I took in Sequoia National Park in California. I edited the lighting a little bit with levels to make it not as bright.
Then, I took the quick selection tool and picked the galaxy part of this image and pasted it onto my original image. Once I did that, I went in and masked the image to blend it into the background. I also added a tree with the photoshop tools to cover up the existing tree.
I took the river from this image with the quick selection tool, and pasted it into the base image. Once I did that, I transformed the river to make it seem like it was flowing like the other one was. From there, I changed the color with selective color, hue saturation, and color balance to try to match the galaxy that I chose.
I selected this moon with quick selection tool, pasted it into the image. Transformed it so it would fit better in the sky, and then I had to darken it a little bit with levels. From there, I added a little more to the left side to make it seem not as chunky on my picture.
I found this image on pixabay, I took the lasso tool and selected the wolves and then pasted them into my image. From there, I took out the remaining grass around them. After that, I transformed them to make them smaller so they can fit into the river better. I took the clone stamp tool and put some water "splashing" onto their legs to make it look like they are actually walking in the water.
Lastly, I took this mountain with the quick selection tool and added it to the image. I put a grayscale on it to match the sky a little bit. I also clone stamped one side of the mountain to make it longer so it would fit in the image. Then I put a mask on the mountain and blended it into the background better.
