Velika Planina, or 'the place at the edge of the world' as my friend likes to call it, is a mountain plateau in the heels of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, situated in the northern parts of Slovenia.
In between all the hills, trails and landscapes, you are going to see these beautiful wooden houses. There is a community there which finds pleasure in living there, and lives off of poultry and agriculture mostly.
Being in this place felt like being in a fairy tale. Everywhere I turned around, there was beauty. Either it was the snowy peaks of Kamnik Alps, the magical wooden houses, the church ... These landscapes felt like a fairy tale. So enjoy these frozen frames of time and space. Enjoy the fairyscapes.
