Strips of cardboard were used to trace the lines of the letters and attached using masking tape. Air drying clay was rolled flat, placed over the cardboard structure and gently pressed around the lines.
 
A light was then positioned at different heights to create the shadows.
 
Lyrics are from "The Lower The Sun" by Tom Vek.
