HOUSEHOLD FREEZER
10.2014

ATLANT Inc. has mastered prospective technologies of manufacturing energy efficient NoFrost household freezers. In order to make new freezers not only reliable and functional but also easy to use and give them a decent look, a new design was developed.
NoFrost system in a freezer ensures automatic defrosting of its compartment and even distribution of the cold air inside. Freezers featuring this system incorporate a special fan and air ducts to create forced circulation of the cooled air inside the freezer. The moisture is evacuated from the freezing compartment with the airflow and subsequently freezes upon the evaporator inside the freezer. Cyclical heating of internal components of the evaporator melts ice; water flows down outside of the freezer.

In a new ATLANT freezer, the evaporator is situated in the upper part of the freezing compartment.
.
Given that some elements of the new freezer’s exterior have been borrowed from the production models, a special attention was paid to the distinguished design of the evaporator casing. The casing has a shape that is visually divided into two elements. On a compositional level, one of the elements is combined with the upper part of the freezing compartment and visually merges with it.

In this case the design solutions allowed disguising the useful volume of the freezer ‘consumed’ by the evaporator.
Bevels at end faces of the compartment make the walls of the freezer look slimmer, whereas handles for gripping containers located horizontally along the entire length of transparent panels visually expand the freezer and increase its useful volume. The customer is satisfied.
At the top of the freezer compartment, there are a niche with a folding flap and a pallet for storing of free-running foodstuffs (dumplings, berries).
The presented design project is patented and owned by ATLANT Inc. The freezer, implemented according to this design project, is named as M-7606-N and on the market since April 2017.
