Book selected by FNLIJ (National Book Foundation Children and Youth) for the 48th Bologna Children's Book Fair 2011.
The book tells, through the cordel literature, alternative funny versions for the "evolution" of some animals such as the bat, porcupine and snake.
The illustrations use a stroke style that references the woodcut, characteristic of Brazilian Cordel, adapted for children.
Each animal got a verse and each verse an illustration full page.
