Like the boss of the mountains in the area,
I represented a huge tree living dignifiedly.
Toward the center where the wood core exists,
I thought about what direction and what kind of curves would make the grain look interesting.
There was something that was visible because of the use of large wood.

The size of the wood used is 27 × 20 × 10.4cm.
It is one of the largest widths of wood I currently have.
I want to represent a big tree spreading branches into the sky.
I think while looking at the cross section of this wood. Which side should I carve with the side facing up? 

I imagine how the wood grain will change when I choose which side is the surface. How do I add depth, 

twist and curves to change the wood grain? I would like to enjoy the change while carving. 

And I also would like to be able to predict to some extent how the wood grain will change when I design it.

I began to see the whole shape little by little.
I have largely removed the interior space and designed it to balance the front, back, left and right, 

so this shape is maintaining a well-balanced state.
