Illustration is an important part of my design work. I find that I am best able to solve a design problem with control over all the elements in the design. This both includes the artwork and the typographic elements used in any project. Here are some samples of my work incorporating this relationship between my illustrations within design.
These are part of my ongoing type exploration pieces in which I illustration a concept accompanied by a single word. The word itself is lettered, drawn or manipulated from a typeface in order to complement the illustration.
