Mastercard inaugurates a new restaurant concept. On June 12th, the first cashless restaurant, Bistro by Mastercard, opened its doors in Rome’s International Leonardo da Vinci airport.
The restaurant combines tradition and innovation, offering typical dishes from the Lazio region and experimenting with the most innovative technologies to revolutionize the gastronomic experience of travelers.

Touch Table Design
The new Priceless Touch Table, an interactive table realized in cooperation with McCann, is the major cornerstone of the new restaurant.
Dashboard
The table allows travelers to browse through the recipes and particularities of traditional Roman cuisine, order dishes, stay up to date on their flights and destination cities, and discover the world of Priceless Cities.
Meal mode
The interface of the table adapts to the time of the meal. The main dashboard becomes a side menu, allowing the user to enjoy the meal while continuing to access the contents.
Priceless Cities
Priceless Cities is a program dedicated to MasterCard holders which permits users to enjoy exclusive experiences in more than 40 cities around the world. Using the table’s interface, it’s possible to filter through the experiences by selecting a city of interest directly on a 3D globe.
Payment Experience
Even the payment experience is an absolute novelty, allowing you to pay without going to the cash register, thanks to the contactless technology integrated within the table.
ADCI Award 2019
We won two important prizes for our interactive table at the ADCI Awards 2019: bronze medal for the best digital user experience and bronze medal for the Digital Motion Design.
