This is a magazine that I was tasked to design in my Publication Design Class at Columbia College Chicago. I love sneakers, fashion and minimalist design so I combined them while making this magazine. For one of the sections I actually had the chance to visit Virgil Abloh's Exhibit: "Figures of Speech". Virgil Abloh is a Chicago native designer who owns Off White which is a streetwear brand. He has had success with Nike by creating deconstructed versions of popular sneaker models. He is a big inspiration for me because he's from my hometown and loves the same things I do which is fashion, sneakers and art. The photos in the "Figures of Speech" were taken by me and so are the one's on the cover and back cover. The photos and illustrations in the rest of the magazine are not mine but were used simply for the class project and not for profit (All rights to the owners). This magazine includes interviews with Chicago Natives: Kanye, Virgil and Don C. I also included various sections for stores to promote their hypebeast clothing. The ending features hype beast illustrators and you get an insight of my geometric illustration style.
