We are on the verge of a major revolution that will reshape our urban environment in the next few decades. The advent of autonomous vehicles will change the way humans live to a scale not seen in decades.
For the first time since the invention of the motorcar, people who do not have mobility today will have access to it. Autonomous mobility in 2035 of privately owned or shared vehicles can potentially help keep the older adult population integrated into the economy, extending their independent years and overall life quality.
