CGI - 3D SHOE MODELS FOR ADIDAS CAMPAIGN - CODECHAOS BY THE FREISE BROTHERS

The CodeChaos Adidas Campaign was made by the Freise Brothers, they contact me to make the CGI Models of the New Adidas Golf Shoes since the studio of the brothers doesn’t have a Behance page I highly recommend to go see their amazing work on their website. They become a recognized studio with the short film for Tesla “Not a Dream”. They gave me permission to post the project on Behance.

Keep in mind that all the VFX, lighting, animation and different elements were made by them and I provide the models and some technical support about the shoes and a little support for the animations.

I’m really grateful to be part of this project, their studio is a really young studio with amazing talented people and they put their trust on my work believing in my young experience career.

For me was a 3 months period of work and for the time we have, we achieve a result even the CEO of Adidas in L.A and in Germany was amazed by the result and the 3D models of the shoes and the rest of the work.

But for them as Nathan Freise said in his FB post it was nearly a 1 Year Project:

“Hard to believe a year's worth of work comes down to 30 seconds, but I have to say I'm unabashadley proud of this one. Brother and I wrote & directed this one, also did the post and created the VFX- a mix of CGI and practical fx filmed "in-camera". We encountered so many production hiccups along the way, but also had way too much fun on and off set with our talented crew. Adidas is resetting the standard for what a golf shoe can be, and they made it clear that their envelope-pushing design should have an equally provocative ad. They asked the Freise Bros to bring the chaos for their "disruptive" 2020 #CodeChaos campaign, and I'm fairly confident that it has been brought”.

ABOUT GOLF CODECHAOS ADIDAS CAMPAIGN

The idea was to make the most realistic shoe so the people can’t see the difference between the real shoot of the products and the CGI.

The models were made in 3D Max and render with V-ray, as it shows the materials are really complex and there are multiple layer and overlaying materials to achieve the exact design.

Adidas shoes and in general shoe industry the design are becoming more and more intricate and more complex in all aspects, they are becoming more like a fingerprint design. That helps fighting piracy and copycats beside the performance and the sport technology.
