Project title: Journey to Hell

I decided to conceptualise arachnophobia as I believed that phobias can be a version of 'hell'. As part of this project, I did a lot of research into phobias; arachnophobia seemed to be the most prevalent among people at the moment. This meant that the piece would have the most impact on a large percentage of the audience. We had to make a mask with this project, this also meant doing a life cast of my models face, which I then sculpted directly onto. I also enjoyed getting practise on how to represent emotion in faces.
