From this safe and comfortable starting point, I branched out into different directions. In some of these pieces, I drew the artwork in Illustrator and then digitally painted it in Photoshop, adding textures like speckles and rougher brush strokes. In others I would draw and paint in Photoshop, resulting in less clean but more organic-looking artwork. 

This was one of my last pieces for this series. I then applied the things I learned from this fun project to my Holiday cards, clothing series, and children's book illustrations.
