You don't have to be a hero to feel invincible

An enigmatic and powerful new superhuman hero emerged earlier today to the cheers of Metrooplois' citizens after saving the crew and passengers of the astroplane Constitution including this reporter from certain death after a terrifying mid-air collision.

The accident occurred with a small civilian aircraft striking the experimental Air Space Plane on her left wing, having slipped through a small security cordon around Metropolis International Airport. The Constitution was due to land at MIA as part of the city's 250th anniversary celebration with crowds gathering all over the city to witness the event. The space craft hollowing smoke spun hopelessly out of control towards the masses of the assembled crowd below.

Screaming to spring forth from the panicking crowds a man dressed in a  brightly colored costume and cape took off from the ground leaping higher than the tallest of buildings and in the direction of the oncoming disaster. In a blur of red and blue the speeding figure flew towards  the plummeting craft making contact with the underside of the space plane. In a display of benevolent strength the stranger began  leveling the intertwined aircraft bringing them to land safely on the main runway of Metropolis International.
