One of the most interesting projects I did for my high school digital illustration class was this still life of bananas. I had a lot of fun drawing my still life for this class, because I was already learning how to use my Wacom tablet.
I started this drawing by opening a photo of bananas that I took myself in Photoshop. Then, I drew over the original photo with the Brush & Mixer Brush tools. For the colors, I used the Eyedropper to use the colors from the original photo. For shading, I used a darker hue of the color I'm using; for highlights, I used a lighter hue.
I also used the Blur and Smudge tools to make my shading more realistic, the Dodge tool to brighten the highlights, and the Burn tool to darken the shading.
