We always say "if" when we think about a possible or imagined situation. We are living in the time of an ageing population and higher life expectancy. As we live longer than before, care giving touches the lives of more of us. In year 2030, the number of potential caregivers in Singapore is estimated to be 873,300.
IF is a project that takes the viewers back into an environment that they are familiar with, to get them to think about the possibilities of what might happen when they take on the role of a caregiver. Through the use of everyday objects, the project brings emphasis to this role by showing that even simple tasks of our everyday life can be overwhelming in the world of care giving.
This project aims to provide an insight to the world of a care giver, to advocate making informed decisions and to always be prepared for the "if", and in this case, an imminent future of care giving.
There are three parts to this project - Time, Self and Dialogue.
