Pipes in Architecture Pecha Kucha

Project: Pipes in Architecture Pecha Kucha - Presenter
Date: 2012
For?
Pecha Kucha Christchurch
What?
I discussed ideas on using concrete pipes in architecutre and presented slides on the workshop I ran at
the Sustainable Habitat Architecture Challenge (SHAC) Micro-Architecture Conference
How?
As the lecture was at the court theatre, I decided to present a performative lecture. I organised volunteers
Coralie Winn and Trent Hyles from Gapller on stage to perform as I entered inside a cardboard box. They
pierced the box with a rod and I appeared in construction uniform ready to present my talk.
Going Forward:
I supported other presenters in their upcoming Pecha Kucha presentations, advising they speak the
language of the audience and support/recognise other presenters.
