I don't do much personal project on 2019 since I am busy with office work. But last year I promised myself to do another calendar set and I did. This is the second time I created a simple calendar for myself.
For 2020, I try to make fandom less fandom-y, in which I take elements from songs of a certain singer and recreate them as drawings. I connect the song with suitable month and current season, also using matching color palette for each song to make more impact and in line with the whole theme of each month. With illustrations in pencil-like brush style, I try to emulate the aspect of carefree and fun into the whole design.
This year I also use Pantone's 2020 color, Classic Blue, for elements on my calendar design (dates, holiday sign, etc) to align it with last year's concept as well.
I am still using a paperclip to bind the papers together for simplicity, and also making the routine of flipping the calendar to a new month a bit more exciting.
