POSTER DESIGN FOR RIVERKEEPER'S ANNUAL
HUDSON RIVER CLEANUP

Riverkeeper’s mission is to protect the environmental, recreational and commercial integrity of the Hudson River and its tributaries, and safeguard the drinking water of nine million New York City and Hudson Valley residents.
Every year they organize a Riverkeeper Sweep, where local shoreline cleanups are held all along the 100s of miles of Hudson River Shoreline, from Brooklyn to the Adirondacks. This year, they wanted a poster that showed the beauty of the Hudson River's ecosystem and natural wildlife, which needs protection from the onslaught of plastic and pollutants. I chose to feature a school of striped sea bass, native to the Hudson River, facing the threat of a six pack's plastic packaging.
