Drawn to the poetic lines and distortions of art and sculpture, the project began
with garment silhouettes generated in response to contemporary Australian artists.
Distortions were further explored in a philosophical sense, utilising notions of time,
perception, memory and the self to create new versions of the ‘white shirt’ archetype.

The colour palette, painting and Shibori techniques utilise natural dyes on found fabrics.
Completed solely by others, the project explores sustainability through participatory practice.

Each garment’s life cycle is highly considered through construction, embedded with
removable internal linings & pieces that shift to alter garment silhouette. Materiality further
supports end of life, with each element able to be either composted or re-used in it’s entirety.
