NINETY: THE GEHRY EDITION
Project is for school assignment purposes.
A design project to produce an editorial magazine featuring a renowned designer/artist. The designer allocated to me was Frank Gehry.
Frank Gehry is a renowned architect from Los Angeles, America. He is famously dubbed as the most important architect of our age. He has a very consistent architectural style, often associated with deconstructivism.
As his works are fun and sculpturally exciting, I decided to take a clean and simple approach for the magazine design, to make his works pop. Furthermore, Frank Gehry often starts every work with a pen scribbled draft, and I got inspired by these sketches to use thick and thin lines as the main motif in the magazine, and kept everything within the grayscale palette.
