PARASCAPE
Project is for school assignment purposes.
This is a design project with the main focus on educating young adults on sleep paralysis and correcting their perception that it’s not related to supernatural. The deliverables ties in together to form a system which helps to promote the pop-up exhibition, which is the main deliverable.
My three deliverables are:
1. Augmented Reality Poster
2. Sleeping Kit
3. Pop-up exhibition of PARASCAPE at SCAPE

These 3 deliverables comes together to create a rhizome system in creating awareness on sleep paralysis and helps to promote the parascape exhibition.
Augmented Reality Poster
The poster will be put up as publicity for the exhibition and garner foot traffic. Despite it being a poster, it has an interactive element, as it has the Augmented Reality (AR) function. The AR function shows the concept of PARASCAPE as when using the HP reveal to scan the poster, there will be movement in the poster, visualizing the escape of one reality to another.
Sleeping Kit
The sleeping kit is also a promotional item, which will be given out for free and have a detachable cover as the ticket. Having the ticket on the kit, it serves a 2-in-1 function, where receivers can go to the exhibition with the ticket and use the remaining of the kit to store the eye mask and ear plugs. Furthermore, the cover ticket is also a flyer in showing the layout of the area, to let receivers get a glimpse of what they will be expecting to see at the exhibit, and guiding them during the experience as well.
Pop-Up Exhibition (Scale Model)
The pop-up exhibition aims to educate young adults, as they very often experience sleep paralysis, due to stress. It also acts as a community for people with similar experiences to come together and share their stories, and know that they aren’t the only ones experiencing it. There will also be interactive elements where they can experience an environment for better sleep quality and activities that will create an impact on them.
These are the entrance and exit of the exhibition. To visualise escape from reality to the other, the exterior of the pop-up exhibition has a colour contrast with the interior, from a bright background of white to darker background of dark purple.

Level 1 - Educational Zone
Upon entering, visitors gets to learn what the exhibition is about, what is sleep paralysis, and some important facts of sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis demons are also introduced - which are characters that people experienced during sleep paralysis.
A visitor interaction wall proceeds after the sleep paralysis demons. The wall gathers survey data from visitors, to know if they have ever experienced sleep paralysis. The visitors gets to put their own input on the wall, making their mark in the exhibition. It also helps medical staffs know how common sleep paralysis occurs.

Following the wall is the stairs up to
The is an area where visitors get to chill, unwind and participate in activities available. First up, they get to D-I-Y their own sleeping demon with the sticker sheets available.

Next, there's the , a grassy bean bag area where visitors can sit down and have small talks with their friends or other visitors and share their experience of sleep paralysis.

Lastly, there are available for visitors to experience a relaxing nap.

The staircase down leads to the .
At the Medical Zone, there are medical staff that you can approach regarding sleep paralysis and they will be able to advise you on getting better sleep. There is also a seats where you can have a conversation with them.

Lastly, Share your Dreams lets visitors share their dreams by writing down on pieces of paper and hanging them up for other visitors to read if they are too shy to share at the Share Zone on Level 2. It also doubles up as a instagrammable shot!
