DEFINICIÓN DE LA PROPUESTA
Bambuco Records es una tienda de música ambientada en lo que fue este espacio en los años 70´s en Colombia. Pensada como un espacio inmersivo y interactivo, busca que la audiencia pueda disfrutar al máximo lo que fueron las tecnologías de la época para los melómanos: los vinilos o LP´S y los cassetes por medio de tecnologías modernas como el celular, la realidad aumentada y los audífonos. Queremos darle un homenaje a las historias detrás de la música, a los recuerdos asociados con los vinilos y generar un espacio significativo o que pueda ser un vinculo emocional para aquellas personas que pudieron vivir la experiencia de una tienda de música en los 70´s en Colombia de primera mano.

Definition of the project
Bambuco Records is a music store set in what was this space in the 70s in Colombia. Conceived as an immersive and interactive space, it seeks that the audience can enjoy to the fullest what were the technologies of the time for the music lovers: vinyls or LPS and cassettes by means of modern technologies such as phones, augmented reality and hearing aids. We wanted to pay tribute to the stories behind the music, to the memories associated with the vinyl and to generate a meaningful space and create an emotional link for those people who lived the experience of a music store in the 70s in Colombia firsthand.

PROCESO DE CREACIÓN
Para la realización de este proyecto el paso inicial fue la investigación, en la que nos propusimos entender cómo vivieron los jóvenes de los 70s en Colombia la llegada de los vinilos extranjeros y nacionales a las tiendas de música. Con esta investigación nos dimos cuenta del extenso valor que guardan las historias detrás de cada disco para cada persona, lo que quisimos enaltecer y generar como un banco de memorias. Ademas de esto, decidimos generar otros vínculos con los usuarios de la instalación, permitiéndoles crear sus propias listas de reproducción con un sistema de esa época, los micro casetes y la grabadora portátil y la posibilidad de grabar nuevas historias para los discos que no tuviesen memorias y otras canciones que podrían ser mas recientes, con el fin de aumentar el tamaño del banco de memorias y convertirlo en una cápsula del tiempo que podría ser descubierta en el futuro, conteniendo las historias del pasado y del presente.

For the realization of this project the initial step was research, in which we set out to understand how the young people of the 70s in Colombia lived the arrival of foreign and national vinyls to the music stores. With this research we realized the extensive value of the stories behind each album for each person, which we wanted to enhance and generate as a memory bank. In addition to this, we decided to generate other links with the users of the installation, allowing them to create their own playlists with a system of that time, the micro cassettes and portable recorder and the possibility of recording new stories for records that do not have memories and other songs that could be more recent, in order to increase the size of the memory bank and turn it into a time capsule that could be discovered in the future, containing the stories of the past and the present.

Para los referentes decidimos visitar e investigar acerca de las tiendas de discos que aun existen hoy en día en Bogota, por lo que fuimos a varios diferentes sitios cerca al centro de la ciudad, donde se concentran la mayor cantidad de tiendas de este estilo

State of the art
For the referents we decided to visit and investigate about the record stores that still exist today in Bogota, so we went to several different stores near the center of the city, where the greatest number of shops of this style are concentrated
Además de esto, decidimos hacer una investigación sobre cómo eran las tiendas de discos, en Colombia y en otros países, para poder crear una ambientación que fuese lo más fiel posible a la realidad.

In addition to this, we decided to do an investigation on how the record stores were, in Colombia and in other countries, in order to create an atmosphere that was as faithful as possible to reality.
CONCLUSIONES
Gracias a la investigación realizada para esta instalación, logramos entender el valor sentimental que contienen los vinilos y las caratulas de estos, ya que son capaces de evocar emociones y recuerdos solamente remitiéndose a una de sus canciones o a la imagen en sus carátulas. Además, comprendimos el valor que tomó la música en Colombia y el impacto cultural que tuvieron marcas de vinilos colombianas como Discos Fuentes, quienes condicionaron la música de diciembre en Colombia con mezclas como “14 cañonazos bailables”. Esta instalación nos permitió comprender un poco más a fondo el por qué existe una cultura melómana fuertemente consolidada en Colombia y el aprecio que estos le tienen a los reproductores, vinilos, cassetes y otros dispositivos que dieron paso a la reproducción y distribución de música en Colombia.

Conclusion
Thanks to the research carried out for this installation, we managed to understand the sentimental value contained in the vinyl and the cover of these, because they are able to evoke emotions and memories only by referring to one of their songs or to the image on their covers. In addition, we understood the value of music in Colombia and the cultural impact of Colombian vinyl brands such as Discos Fuentes, which conditioned the music of December in Colombia with mixtures such as "14 cañonazos bailables". This installation allowed us to understand a little more in depth the reason why there exists a strongly consolidated music culture in Colombia and the appreciation that these have to the players, vinyl, cassettes and other devices that gave way to reproduction and distribution of music in Colombia
