Photographs from a summer of watching Bald Eagles around the Gulf Islands.
A bald eagle can grow up to 3 ft tall and have a wingspan of up to 8ft across, watching these birds take flight is something spectacular.
Females grow slightly larger than the males and can weigh up to 25% more than the males when fully grown. With their impeccable eye sight and incredible talons and sharp beak make them a top predator in the air finding and taking down their prey.
