An accomplished Chicago business executive, James McDonough formerly served as the CEO and chairman of the board of McDonough Associates, an architectural and engineering firm. With experience serving on the boards of a variety of public works departments, James McDonough also chaired the board of trustees for Chicago's St. Xavier University (SXU).

A private Catholic university, SXU was established more than 170 years ago. With nearly 3,000 undergraduates and just over 700 graduate students, SXU was ranked by US News & World Report as a best value among Midwestern universities.
