Doors always open with each new project whether commercial or private. How can they not? In this instance, I became acquainted with a renowned hornbill expert who has dedicated much of her career and expertise to the care and understanding of these amazing birds.
As for the artwork itself, I enjoyed the effect of using a Japanese hand made paper for the dark markings in the feathers, body and tail. Great fun and it elevated the elegance and intrigue in the final result.
