Around the country, UNICEF USA hosts over 30+ fundraising events each year – from speaker series to luncheons to galas. We get to be a part of creating these truly memorable experiences through event collateral like invitations, programs, and more!
It's an honor to work with UNICEF USA and be a part of helping people around the world. It's also pretty great that we have won awards for the design and impact we have contributed to on these projects. UNICEF USA's primary focus in the broader mission of UNICEF is fundraising, so it's important that we make the most of every piece that is used to enhance each event.
Over the years of our partnership with the organization, we've had the chance to explore a range of beautiful print production techniques. We vary our approach through touches like foil, emboss, deboss, letterpress, wax seals, envelope liners, duplexing to make an impact.
The UNICEF Children's Champion Award Dinner has long legacy of successful fundraising in Boston. Our design for the event was simple and elegant, reflecting the event's commitment to focusing on UNICEF's work across the world.
We've also parlayed our designs into the digital sphere by creating HTML versions of our print invites and microsites for easy information access and RSVP capabilities.
Audrey Hepburn never forgot the aid she received from UNICEF as an adolescent in post-World War II Holland. The annual Audrey Hepburn Society Ball in Houston reflected her commitment to caring for the world's children. The event also honors humanitarians who continue her legacy. This beautiful invitation, which announced honoree Barbara Bush, featured an outer casing, foil stamps, and even a wax seal.
With all of our UNICEF special events pieces, we take a holistic approach, considering a myriad of influences to inform the multifaceted designs. This can range from the thematic concepts of the event overall, special guests and honorees, and, most importantly, those impacted by UNICEF’s work across the globe.
For the Chicago gala, the theme of the event was stepping into a Moroccan bazaar. We translated this concept to a visual approach that centered around an intricate, North African textile-inspired pattern. Several pieces featured this pattern, including the invitation, and the pattern was also flexible enough to work as a system, highlighting key imagery, text-content, and decorative elements. With this approach in mind, we were able to create a beautiful piece that felt cohesive across the event, created a high-end aesthetic, and highlighted the vital work UNICEF is doing for those in need.
