Roast Republica Packaging design

The logo
The logo of the brand is based on a vintage but still modern design. The basic font use for the name of the brand Roast Republica is bold and plain the vintage style comes through with the illustration on the bottom of the logo. Detail can be seen in the leafs. The illustration on the bottom is based on the coffee plant. The logo is designed to be used on any background so the logo will stand out.

The national bird of New York is the Easter bluebird (State Symbols USA [sa]). The bird illustration on the labels is based on the Eastern bluebird. The placement of the
bird is part of the new product line created by Roast Republica. The Eastern bluebird is part of the narrativethe brand created. As the blend of the coffee get stronger the birds wings open up more and more. Demonstrating the strength of the coffee with the power represented in the bird. The light roast blend known as Brazilian Blend, Colombian Blend is the medium roast and dark roast is the Peruvian Blend.
The Design of the packaging
According to the article written by Bek in 2016, when you are designing a label for coffee packaging it is better to keep the label clean. This makes it easier for the client
to get all the information on the coffee itself. The label of Roast Republica is designed in a very simplistic and clean look. The information of the coffee brand can be found
on the back of the packaging with a little history. Other important information of the brand that it is for example the fact that the brand is fair trade and that the product container can be recycled. But the information the client will look at first is the detail in the front. The name of thebrand, the type of roast and to this brand that it is wholebean coffee.
The use of material has an influence on the brand and thepackaging (Bek 2016). If you use a shiny container for the product the label that will work the best is a gloss type
of label (Bek 2016). The container of Roast Republica is glass but the lid is of wood. The wooden lid was used to complement the label, a matt surface with a paper based label.
