The shape of this pedestal is based on the most fundamental form in architecture—
the arch. I have abstracted the shape to embody the feeling of movement and
playfulness.

PROFESSOR ANNE FINKELSTEIN

Olivia Baltimore, Oli Davitt, Jennifer Oguagha, Johanna Vargas
Design of graphics and a sales desk for the Neue Galerie.
Our concept inspiration takes cues from the periods heavily geometric art and design,
as well as ornate detailing, and the relationship between past and present. The palette
inspiration is derived from the artwork within Neue, as well as the existing interior
materials that include dark wood and white crown molding. As a result, the collective
aesthetic is decorative, yet the simplified palette suggests a modern undertone.
