Motivated by issues of memory and place I explore hidden urban narratives.
Metaphor, narration and wit are my primary tools in creating works that examine
past significance in order to speak to the present.
Here in this installation I examine the fleeting performative nature of construction...
future memories. This work celebrates the frenetic choreography of a Manhattan
construction site. It is a dynamic dance whose performance transforms into memories
once construction comes to a completion. Ultimately that dynamic poetry fades away.
Though static, the dramatic tower suspended above embodies those poetic memories
of movement.
