VTCC - Providing Medical Care to the Underserved
With over 30 years of corporate experience, Jill Cook of Los Alamos, New Mexico, currently serves as the human resource manager of Homewise, Inc. A professionally trained auctioneer, Jill Cook has conducted auctions for numerous nonprofit organizations in Los Alamos and other locations, including the Villa Therese Catholic Clinic (VTCC), for which she also served on the board of directors.

Established in 1937, VTCC is located at the back of Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The clinic offers health care for free or at a very low cost to persons with little or no insurance. While the charity does not charge for its services, it greatly appreciates patient donations and mainly serves children from birth to 18 years old who are underinsured or uninsured.

However, VTCC does provide limited adult services. More than 60 percent of the clinic's patients do not receive government assistance. Of the patients VTCC serves, close to 95 percent are below the federal poverty line, Hispanic, uninsured, and/or come from immigrant families.

VTCC is funded by donations and fundraising activities. To learn more about VTCC and how you can help, please visit www.vtccsf.org.
