Wireless Charging Dock

Presumably, many of us do not have a dedicated area for our phones to charge at night, but rather a general spot where the phone is subject to move and shift. Without such a spot, your phone can easily become disconnected from its charger, get lost in the middle of the night or otherwise become hard to access.

For all of these reasons, I was inspired to design and develop a wireless charging dock that integrates with a headboard of a bed, through the use of 3D printing technology.

The wireless charger fits snugly into the the circular cutout area of the dock, and then lays flush with the rest of the charger to create a level resting area for the phone.
The dock fits snugly on a 3/4 headrest with foam padding. For thicker headboards the foam inserts can be removed and add another half inch of room. I chose to make the dock slanted to accommodate for the build area of my printer, but also to make it easier to view the phone when necessary .
