Connection, Converse, Creation

In creating an embodiment of softness, my project responds to prompts of sitting and movement through creation. The womb, being a metaphor and representation for growth, connection and mindfulness, I propose a temporal exhibition strategy that aims to create a transformative space within St Paul St Gallery One that shares these qualities of life through creation.

Connection, Converse, Creation opens up the gallery through extended invitations to workshops, events and conversations. I will provide an opportunity for visitors to feel present, welcome and accepted in the space, a place for social interactions, encounters and engagements along with artists and participants. The prompt of sitting and movement gives visitors the chance to acknowledge and take care of the body to mind, understanding and connecting with space and emotional practice.

“When you sit, you are coming back to yourself, to your body, your feelings, your emotions, and your perceptions in order to take care of them” – Thich Nhat Hanh.

These were propositions of what could be done.

These are some images taken that have inspired the "positions" made
