Weird Tales features folk tales from around the world. But these tales are not the "ordiary" ones with princesses and happy end, instead, all of them have a weird spin. 
(My favourite one is the korean tale with the old lady who meets a tiger... and the tiger eats all of her limbs one by one - after politely asking her - , then order her to roll home.)
All illustrations were cut from paper, composed into scenes, then photographed like shadow puppets.
