Eigenart is a magazine made by and for students of the Universität der Künste Berlin.
Issue #88 is a special number because it has the format of a folded poster, a solution that allowed us to display a small number of articles on one side and a typographical poster on the other.
When put in conjunction with each other, the posters work as a complex patterned surface that reveals the continuous repetition of the central phrase Bitte Halten Sie Abstand, which one can only grasp when viewing it from the distance.
This effect makes direct reference to the theme of this issue, Abstand, which means “distance”. This way the poster campaign helps advertising the magazine to our fellow students.
