This is a proposed book cover for the 40th Anniversary of Indian Activity Executive Committee (IAEC).

The book discussed about tales and stories of the pioneer Indian community, meant to be passed down to the current and future generation.

With that in mind I picked a shadow puppet stage as a symbolism of storytelling. In India, shadow puppetry is used to tell history, legend, and even moral tales. The storytelling event happens within a gathering of the community, which I feel could fit this purpose.

The limitation of the project is to not use any religious Indian motifs, hence the use of shadow puppet ornamentation and flourish.
