ABOUT THE PROJECT
This was my piece for JrCanest's course in Crehana.com, where you can learn how to create concepts and make dynamic animations using simple shapes.
The goal was to combine two opposing physical properties, match it to a metronome so you can insert a track later then display their differences in a visual manner, the words I chose were Solid and Elastic.
MOODBOARD
I was looking for a balance between warm and cool colors, in my concept I also wanted to include 3D elements as they felt more robust than flat shapes.
Storyboard
What's happening in the animation is that you are seeing the elements go back and forth from being together/balanced to being solid and or elastic when they are separated.
Keywords: bend, perspective, balance, hammer, splat, gum, candy.
STYLEFRAME
To reinforce the concept and match the feel with the moodboard I included textures in a new version using materials such as wood, stone, and metal for the squares and triangles, It was also pushed down to 17 FPS so that it felt more hand-made.
